LegalTech NYC – Day Two and Three
I’m blogging from the ILTA SharePoint event at the Hilton while the LegalTech event continues upstairs.  Attendance was outstanding, I estimate 120-140 in the room.  Bob Daniels, Norm Thomas and Adam Juechter from Microsoft kicked off the event and gave a general overview of SharePoint 2010, with extra focus on the new document management capabilities in 2010 and the potential for it being “the v... Recap from Monday at LegalTech NY
I arrived at LegalTech yesterday afternoon, just in time for the two panel discussions I moderated in the Knowledge Management track.  Before we started I took a quick walk through the exhibit hall and the floor seemed busy, which was encouraging. In the first session I participated in, “Maximizing your KM investments”, I was joined by Jim Tuvell, Director of Knowledge Services at Fox Rothschild... (Read full post)

Notes from the ILTA SharePoint Symposium
We’re just wrapping up the second day of presentations at ILTA’s SharePoint Symposium in Downers Grove, IL.  Attendance was surprisingly good and it was great to spend time with clients and colleagues.  Presentation content has varied from technical (editing FAST index profile XML files) to non-technical, including what I thought to be a great session on social computing by Mark Beckmann from MSF... BBJ 'Best Places to Work Award' Breakfast
Yesterday we attended the Boston Business Journal's Best Places to Work in Boston 2009 Awards breakfast and were very honored to receive our award along with other great companies and honorees.  20 companies were honored in small, medium and large business categories out of more than 380 total, and we came in at #11 in the small category.  Yeah, I know - we always look that, unfortunately.  :) ... Blackberry v. iPhone, and an "app for everything" including iManage
Autonomy iManage announced today their app for the iPhone at the Apple World Developers' Conference in San Fran (thanks to Janders Dean, pointing out the Orange Rag posting).   The online demo looks great, as expected, and the need for mobile access to DM content is real.  Blackberry is still the predominant mobile device in law firms but I've definately seen more iPhones lately.  Having client...
