Autonomy iManage announced today their app for the iPhone at the Apple World Developers' Conference in San Fran (thanks to Janders Dean, pointing out the Orange Rag posting).

 

The online demo looks great, as expected, and the need for mobile access to DM content is real.  Blackberry is still the predominant mobile device in law firms but I've definately seen more iPhones lately.  Having clients for both is a good move and I'd expect more information-focused vendors to follow suit. 

 

See this Above the Law article and the poll questions.  At the time I responded to the polls, the results show 68% using Blackberry v. 27% iPhone, but more than two-thirds of firms do not offer iPhones as an option (yet nearly two-thirds of respondents say they would take it if offered).
